|
|
Bill O'Reilly is a fine one to talk about fraud and lack of credibility. I wonder how often he polishes his fake Pulitzer?
| Code: |
Bill O'Reilly is not one of the men claiming to have sired Anna Nicole Smith's daughter, but that hasn't stopped him from becoming a factor in the ongoing paternity battle over the infant.
Prince Frederic Von Anhalt, Zsa Zsa Gabor's ninth husband and one of at least three men claiming to have fathered six-month-old Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern, has filed a $10 million defamation suit against the conservative pundit, alleging O'Reilly referred to him as "a fraud" during a Feb. 23 broadcast of The O'Reilly Factor.
According to a transcript posted on the Fox News Channel Website, O'Reilly did indeed use the F-word with regard to von Anhalt's paternity claim.
"Look, this guy's a fraud. We know he's a fraud," O'Reilly was quoted as saying. "His credibility...is finished."
In his court documents, filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Von Anhalt claims O'Reilly's "false and/or defamatory" words "directly injure[d] his reputation in a substantial portion of his community."
As a result, he is seeking the princely sum of at least $10 million in damages.
The lawsuit also names Fox News Channel as a defendant. A Fox spokesperson said Thursday that the network had not yet seen the suit and therefore could not comment on it.
Von Anhalt came forward with his belief that he may have been responsible for impregnating Smith the day after her death on Feb. 8, claiming he had carried on a decade-long affair with the former TrimSpa spokesmodel.
"It could be me, it could be another three, could be another 10. When I have an affair with somebody, I don't ask, 'What did you do yesterday?' " the German-born prince said at the time.
Von Anhalt has requested physical and legal custody of the baby, if it is determined he is, in fact, the father.
Aside from Von Anhalt, both Smith's longtime companion, Howard K. Stern, and her ex-lover Larry Birkhead also claim to be Dannielynn's father.
Stern is listed as the baby's father on her birth certificate, but Birkhead has long contended that Dannielynn is the product of his relationship with Smith and has demanded DNA testing to prove it.
Earlier this week, a judge turned down Birkhead's request that Stern be forced to submit to DNA testing but agreed to revisit the matter later in the month.

Apparently not. As long as FUXNews has him. _________________ America is not worth the effort anymore. RIP. It was suicide. |

Bah! This is why my t.v. only has a DVD player and game systems hooked up to it. No cable, no problem! |

O'Reilly often manages to be fairly entertaining. I watch it when I feel like it and fast forward through crap (bad stories or segments) and commercials.
I also have a DVD player and game systems hooked up. After I got my new HDTV I started playing more of my 360. I also enjoy the Guitar Hero games. Fun! _________________ "What something cost is history, what it is worth now is economics." -- Thomas Sowell, April 2006
