Just b/c someone is in the enemy camp does not mean they are bad people nor that they will always remain enemies. I was in the enemy camp at one time myself. Unfortunately our country has been undergoing a slow, prolonged period of social reaction since at least the 1980s, so many of our friends, neighbors, co-workers and family are in that camp too.

Yes, the goal is to eventually win them over, but until they are won over, it must be recognized which side they are on, and dealt with accordingly-- they are cannon-fodder foot soldiers for generals like Karl Rove and Pat Robertson. If this were an actual atheist organization and not just a discussion forum I'd be 100 percent against allowing a religious reactionary into a leadership position, or even allowing them as a member.

But it is just a discussion forum, and now that the "shock" has worn off, congrats romans, I guess.

Goodness, the wholesale change of mods. Interesting, I wonder how long this batch will last before the next generation starts hammering at them. I didn't follow the whole process so I don't know all the facts,, though frankly, its just a forum, but non the less as me pappy used to say, "never give a postion of power to a person who wants it, give it to the ones who don't". Course me pappy also said, " nothing is smoother than a wet toilet seat" so go figger.
