Number Five...
with the typo corrected of course.
If not that...then Number One. It is more inclusive as to religions, and yet not as pugnacious or aggressive without the garbage can. Plus, it also represents science. The garbage can makes us seem like we're just looking for a fight.
If we go with Number One, I'd like to see the sub-banner from Number Two pasted to it (...a community for...) _________________

I agree. I'll go with that one. _________________ "If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for a reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed." Albert Einstein

Number one is fine. 3 is almost unreadable font, and four is just Christian specific. _________________ “The hardest thing to explain is the glaringly evident which everybody had decided not to see.” - Ayn Rand |

I just wanted to slip in the one that didn't make the list because some people seem to like it. Of the four, I like #1 also, but with the sub-banner like I said. _________________

Yeah I know, but maybe someone has some other idea.
I thought it might be a good idea to people the chance to add or modify something over the weekend. _________________

The atheist symbol is a bit different.
It has a missing "loop" at the bottom.
From atheists.org
| Quote: | An international symbol for Atheism has long been needed. When American Atheists was formed in 1963, a contemporary scientific symbol was chosen; this acknowledges that only through the use of scientific analysis and free, open inquiry can humankind reach out for a better life.
Recognizing the new atomic era, but also emphasizing the truths of older scientific findings, the atomic whirl was chosen. The atom is still a distinguishing unit of all matter, the smallest particle of an element that can exist and still retain the properties of that element.
You may notice that one of the orbital in our symbol is broken, or open-ended. This demonstrates that while Atheists rely on the scientific method for learning about the cosmos and increasing our knowledge about nature, we know that "not all of the answers are in." We recognize that with new knowledge come new questions and areas for human inquiry and exploration.

Number two. I like the subtle humour of the bin thing.

No 2 for me as well. Nice and clean, and it's got the cheeky humour. _________________ "I am the beginning, the end...the one who is many. I am the collective." - The Borg Queen

Just tinkering, mind you...results not typical, your mileage may vary.
1 and 5 with the typos corrected and Nimitz's 'official' atheist logo incorporated...

I think it would look better if it was gray like the other symbols. _________________
