if hillary wins the primaries the democrats will have shot themselves in the foot. they WILL lose in 08. similarly if obama wins the primaries they will lose, because his name sounds almost like osama. yeah I know thats fucking retarded, but I wouldn't put it past John Q Public to think something so stupid.
meanwhile John Edwards is making strides in the south (bush country, and the other democrats aren't getting anywhere here) . if he wins the primaries, the democrats will have a shot and may well win this thing.
y'all better hope to hell Edwards takes the primaries, or we will have a republican president in 08. |

No doubt Hilary and Obama both have serious drawbacks to winning the presidency at the national level. I consider myself a Democrat, and neither of them are my first choice. Yet, at the same time, so do Guliani and McCain for the Republican side. As such, I can imagine Hilary and/or Obama vs. McCain and/or Guliani as being a case where a lot of voters will just stay away, or vote for a third party in protest. And, in that case, it seems to me that it is possible that Hilary and/or Obama could win. Hell, even Ted Kennedy might have a chance against Guliani/McCain! _________________ Please visit my site at www.caseagainstfaith.com featuring critiques of Lee Strobel and other apologetics

| Joe Biden has the most government experience out of all the Democrats, but is he electable? Bill Richardson has a ton of experience as well, but he doesn't have the personality. I just don't think there is a clear cut favorite in either party at this point. Hell, did anyone really believe that John Kerry was going to carry the nomination in 2004? If I were a betting man and I betted on Kerry to carry it, I would have won a small fortune. |

Agreed.
I hate how 'everybody' is already crowning obama or hillary as the democratic candidate. There is plenty of time left for someone else to gain momentum and win it. My first choice would be Biden, followed by Edwards. _________________ A liberal is a conservative who has been arrested. A conservative is a liberal who has been mugged.

I wouldn't vote for him, cuz I don't believe he can really talk to the dead.

I really dislike Hillary - not because of who she is or her politics - but because I believe she is unelectable.
I love Obama because I think he actually has a shine to him that is electable - and I like his politics. Yet I am not sure how electable he is - a certain percentage of swing voters are not going to vote for a black man (which is sad).
Edwards on the other hand is electable - I firmly believe that if he had been the prime candidate in 2004 he would have won. _________________ The constitution does not guarantee the right to own guns for sporting events. It guarantees it for the right to overthrow an oppresive government. |

Edwards already has my vote in the Primaries, unless Al Gore enters the race. _________________ Kimberly (HSBUH) aka

Does it matter who gets elected? As long as that primate of a president you got leaves office. _________________ "The first principle is that you must not fool yourself - and you are the easiest person to fool" --- Richard P. Feynman

I'm not even really concerned with politics on the national level. Seems like they do whatever the fuck they want to do anyway. I watch C-SPAN religiously. I don't know how 90% percent of the folks even got elected.
I guess I'll do NOTA again when the election comes around. _________________ Send Your Kids To Camp Okutta

So, who's going to win the big fight? De La Hoya or Mayweather? My money (if I had any) is on Mayweather.
