I'm thankful that in all my years of being a Christian, I was never in an environment like that.

"When a word from god is given, reason is never required."

Talk about a double meaning, that says it all.

Now excuse my while I go proclaim my jubilee, yo.

My mother goes to a huge church, similar to that. It is SO akward, with everybody raising their hands in the air and such...

Not any more, but before I admitted I was atheist she made me go, yes.

She usually leaves me alone. She does say she will pray for me often, though, which is no bother to me, since I know it won't do jack. Since I told her I was an atheist, she has not once tried to convert me. I find that very nice of her.

My family is made up of new-age "born again" fundies. My aunt wants my mother to disown me, since I'm atheist. Is it the 21st century or not?! But, yeah, I always stay separated from my family.

She won't get within speaking distance of me. She probably thinks I'm the devil or some shit. She doesn't want my mom raising satan... Very Happy
