|
|
I have searched online for a solution, but I can't find one that applies to windows 7. Until recently I could type spanish accents, upside down punctuation, etc. with the usaul "alt (combination of numbers), but now it doesn't work on Word and when I try typing something with an accent into a search engine it brings me to a previous page as if I had pressed backspace. In the meantime, spanish homework is taking much longer to complete because have to copy paste accented letters from the web.
Does anyone no what settings I have to change to have it so I can do spanish accents again? Any help would be appreciated. _________________ Be yourself, everyone else is already taken.

t is also possible to program Microsoft Word to use a key such as the ALT with the letter or symbol to do the same thing. Go to the Insert menu and select Symbol, highlight the symbol that you want to program, such as Á (capital A with accent). Then select the Shortcut Key and "press new shortcut key". The "current keys" will tell you what the current shortcut is to that key. Since I use very few shortcuts on my keyboard, I have assigned ALT + n to give me ñ and ATL + o to give me ó (accented o) etc.
You will still need the above codes because this programming only works in Word, of course, you can always create your documents in Word and then cut and paste them into e-mail and other types of documents.
doesn't directly address your problem, but i thought it might be useful. _________________ You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

I know them by heart
alt+0225 = á
alt+0233 = é
alt+0237 = í
alt+0243 = ó
alt+0250 = ú
alt+0241 = ñ
if you are using windows you can always refer to your character map on your accessories menu _________________ ---Note: English is my 2nd language.---
