|
|
So I go to pick up my friend Jesus from my old high school and I notice these guys in suits park in the parking lot carrying a big white box with the letters "NKJV" on the outside of it. I decided not to confront them directly but instead to report it to the campus police. As I was approaching the campus police this is what happened:
Me: "Excuse me! There are some guys down the way passing out-"
Campus lady interrupts me: "Hey! Do you go to this school?"
Me: "ummm.. no."
CL (campus lady): "You need to leave right now you are trespassing!"
Me: "I'm just here to pick up my friend..."
CL: "I don't care you need to leave NOW."
Me: "All right... But there are some guys down there passing out bibles to students."
CL: "We'll take care of it."
So I get in my truck and drive in a big circle around the parking lot (the school was going to get out like 2 minutes after talkin to that lady) and I notice that those guys are still there talking to the police, but THEY ARE SMILING AND SHAKING HANDS. The bell rings and I pick up my friend and I notice the cop drove off and starting talking to some black kid accross the street while the guys were still passin out bibles to students. That was the last straw for me so I get out of my car (Carrying my own bible) and stand next to the dude (It is important to note that I am also wearing my shirt that reads in big bold letters "God is Imaginary") I engage him in a discussion and I start pointing out contradictions in his "bible-logic" he gets mad and get this... HE STARTS SINGING HYMNS!
He doesn't respond to my arguments and as I am begging him to answer the question he starts packing up his bibles and starts to leave. Some kids cheered me on, others started hugging the dude. In the end, I just went back to my car satisfied that I was able to drive the guy off. I am still a bit pissed that I was the one kicked off of campus and not those freaks. _________________ "Shake off all the fears of servile prejudices, underwhich weak minds are servilely crouched. You couldn't ask for a better first line to a "passing out bibles" story! _________________

That is because to rational people a "random" stranger on campus is more dangerous then a group handing out Bibles. |

I'm not a "random stranger" I attended the high school for 4 years. In fact, I take two of my college courses in the portables on the campus! There is really no excuse for their type of behaviour. _________________ "Shake off all the fears of servile prejudices, underwhich weak minds are servilely crouched. I think Ordinary Clay has a point here. In the age of pedo-paranoia, a lone adult male strolling around on campus, alumni or not, is bound to raise more eyebrows than a group of people outside the campus who are there for an instantly recognisable reason. _________________ Theists wank too. |

the reason being, of course, to hand out sexually explicit literature that details and condones pedophilia, incest and rape. lol.. _________________ -=The Believer is Happy; the Skeptic is Wise=-

Thing is, I didnt even get INSIDE the campus. I was still in the parking lot when they came up to me. _________________ "Shake off all the fears of servile prejudices, underwhich weak minds are servilely crouched. Rask, put yourself in a parents shoes. What if your kid was at school and some stranger was hanging around the parking lot?
The lady that shoed you had every right, though you could have said that you attend classes there for college. That may have involved interrupting her rude butt though...in front of the officer......
OK anyways, safety is important and had I witnessed a strange loiterer in my kids' school parking lot right before the bell I would have appreciated the rude lady. Could you have just sat in your car? Not that it matters I just like to ask questions.
It's possible that the bible-hugger had permission to be there at that time. And maybe the rude lady saw you eyeballing the BH and read your high contrast t-shirt and her horns sprouted.
And MAYYYYYBEEEEEE.......there was a large man in a hockey mask waiting in the BHs foyer when he got back home to relax after Satan attacked him at the local high school.......
Perhaps I have had too much coffee.......
Understand your frustration but there are plausible reasons for why it went down like that, and good reason to oust you if you didn't actually belong there.
Find out who the lady is and egg her car. _________________
