| I'm Nephthys and I'm 14 years old. Since atheist seems like a strong word for me, I tend to consider myself an Agnostic as well as a Taoist. Currently I attend a Catholic school and have been very quiet about my beliefs. I began to question my faith about a year or so ago. After reading about the atrocities condoned in the Bible and the heinous acts committed in the name of religion, I decided that I just couldn't continue believing in Christianity, and most other religions. As of now I've taken the stance that we can't know whether a god exists or not, but I don't completely deny the possibility of its existence. Even though I'm an agnostic and not a complete atheist am I still welcome here? |

Atheism is simply a lack of belief in a god or gods so you are atheist. Leaving a possibilty for error doesnt mean you're not an atheist it just means you're scientific.

| Nephthys please take the time to read Carl Sagans "A dragon in my garage". It's from his book "The Demon Haunted World". Try to find a copy of this at your local library. (or better yet buy a copy) A MUST READ FOR ANY BUDDING ATHEIST!!! |

Of course you're welcome here! (We even let the fundies in)
I share your hard agnostic stance. Hope you can find some intelligent debate. _________________ VERITAS OMNIA VINCIT
