Evidence for evolution
One of the most important experiments in evolution is going on right now in a laboratory in Michigan State University. A dozen flasks full of E. coli are sloshing around on a gently rocking table. The bacteria in those flasks has been evolving since 1988--for over 44,000 generations. And because they've been so carefully observed all that time, they've revealed some important lessons about how evolution works.
This is quite cool. _________________ MY YouTube Videos

As a scientist (microbial geneticist) I can appreciate the study and all the effort and difficulties so much more.
Great read, thanks |

Okay, took off my cloudy YouTube creationist glasses and read the article. So amazing. This is on par with the nylon-eating bacteria, and in some ways it's more interesting because of how closely monitored and controlled it was. _________________

This is all very interesting, if true
but why do Lenski refuse to turn over the data
to Conservapedia for review?

Amazing!
But the fundies will just say that the bacteria didn't evolve, they just formed another breed, like dogs. I mean, they didn't change into insects or elephants, did they? |

wow that was a good read, hopefully hell work some more on the data to find the exact sequence then write a paper for peer review, thats a brilliant longitudinal study, I honestly would love to hear how theyre going to try to dispute this... _________________ "A hero need not be undefeated, merely undaunted." |
