Hmmm, so I take it I'm the only one here that considers it a bad thing to have a title that renders both tabs and the browsing history completely fucking useless. Okay then... _________________

Yours shows something other than "AtheistForums.com: Think Freely, But Act Responsibly"?
Because that's all mine shows, and it makes it impossible to see what the topic is from a tab or from the history. |

Yeah, I do that too. Because the titles are broken and that's the only choice I have. |

Yeah. This is actually my third time bringing it up.
Let's use the thread entitled "Post your funny pictures here!!!"
SUGGESTION #1:
Post your funny pictures here!!! - AtheistForums.com: Think Freely, But Act Responsibly
SUGGESTION #2
Post your ... - AtheistForums.com: Think Freely, But Act Responsibly
Suggestion #1 has the topic followed by the forums name and slogan.
Suggestion #2 is the same, but has the topic abbreviated.
The old Infidel Guy Forums worked just like this, so it's not like it's impossible or a crazy idea. Either one of these would then make it once again feasible to have multiple tabs with your favorite threads of the moment. |

I think I PMed IG himself once when AtheistForums.com first started, but got no response, positive or negative. I guess the reason I bring it up again today is that I had a pretty shitty day today, and having to go through five pages just to get somewhere that should take a single mouse click just irritated me further.
I wonder which mod would deal with this stuff if not Reg himself. |

This isn't really a problem for me as I rarely ever have more than one tab open for this site, but I do see what you mean. If I had multiple tabs open, this would be annoying.
Perhaps we should pass this suggestion along to da_monumental_1 ? (I believe he is the webmaster). _________________ "Not everything that steps out of line, and thus 'abnormal', must necessarily be 'inferior'" - Hans Asperger, 1938 |

Edit: whoops, mispost. But it's all thanks to the tab stuff. |

in the source (CTRL+U) it just displays what it says in the <title> tabs, which happens to be <title>AtheistForums.com: Think Freely, But Act Responsibly</title>
If it was ASP it would be no problem to add a code that would return the thread title into the <title> tab _________________ "The first principle is that you must not fool yourself - and you are the easiest person to fool" --- Richard P. Feynman
