Maybe it would be a more pleasant addition to remove CheapSu(r)prise as moderator due to the person's clear lack of willingness to act in a fair orderly manner. This could bring up the possibility to give the status to someone who actually will be a good moderator like the other ones we have here on the forum. No one wants a power hungry, spell-check hating, personal-gain favoring monster as the moderator. I think that was the main message that came out of Dawkadoodle's banning. No one wants CheapSu(r)prise to moderate anymore.

Well, when mod-kitteh learns to type one of them will have to go... The mods are basicly apostles to Reggie and are limited to twleve in all...

Its not just Dawk that has us re-evaluating the loosy goosy rules we currently have. Its the constant flaming, crap flinging and cry baby attitudes that fill our threads with stupidity rather then intelligent discussion that has us re-evaluating things. I don't personally want to make you guys self conscious about you can and can not post, but it is getting ridiculous. If we need to give some more guidelines about what is cool and what is isn't then I guess that is what we will have to do.

But don't forget that this started over complaining regarding, of all things, posts being moved. Seriously, outside of Basilosaur's remarks in a one-on-one thread, how many posts are actually removed? If you ask The Rick Copeland (and you should have) it was a silly complaint that was completely blow out of proportion. But, like you wrote, there might be other issues into which this ties that are a bit more significant...

He makes some interesting contributions once in awhile, as well as good criticisms with mastabatory posts of some of our members. I think the latter is the reason why so many get so riled up when they see his screen name on a thread.
I think the mods did a good a job, and I like how they've been splitting off flame wars into their own threads. I think that should continue with back and forth flaming in any serious discussion topic split off into a "flame pit" or something. Would cut down on having to wade through pages and pages of flames, yet I still have a place to enjoy them if I ever feel so inclined.

awww. I went and flamed people and made fun of people there and nobody said shit. With the exception of one person saying something like "why do you have to be so angry all the time"

All I've gotten is MSN shutting down clone msn programs. my aMSN stopped working. Now I'm back up and running after finding a .deb with a newer version.
