A slightly later photo than the last one.
The little animal is an adult quokka, indigenous to small areas of Western Australia.The photo was taken on Rottnest island,which is just off the Coast of Perth, Western Australia.. Rottnest, a former penal settlement, is one of the few places in the world where the quokka can be seen in the wild.
