MY clients (persons with disabilties) love the 700 club!
And this guy is always praying on TV and "healing someone"
2 questions.
Who died and made Him Jebus? And how much do people have to pay to be prayed for on Television..

Make that 3 questions.. Has it ever worked.. the little bullshit prayers..

I wish the clients wouldnt watch that. They want to be prayed for.. And Healed. And I feel so terribly bad but I cannot say its a load of Bull!

Its SO evil! Everyone is full of jackassness!

I am Steamin' mad!

HAHA!!! I've watched that before a long time ago.
It's alot of bullshit and it pisses me off that people buy into it. I understand your frustration - but at these people's age it's comforting to them and it would make their heads explode to hear someone say that they don't believe in God.

Of course Pat Robertson's snake oil and prayers work! For him!

How do you think he could afford to buy his own African Diamond Mines to support the bloodshed over there? He's scum.

A looong while back... maybe.... two months ago? I had this phase where I'd call 700 club and ask what it's about. I'd let them get about 10 seconds in, when I'd start shouting, WHOA WHOA WHOA WHOA Tthis shit's about GOD? What the fuck is this! hang up. You should try it.

My friend Angel would call and ask about their views on homosexuality, for he is, in fact, a homosexual, and they would avoid answering that question like the black plauge.

We'd be on the couch, laughing at out teenage wit. Good times.

Yippie! Finished my morning meditation and hittin da liquor. MY thoughts on prayer are...perhaps placebo....

If I start chanting "I'm scared of elevators, rats and shinie things" over and over...again...my mind will probably start taking the suggestion...

Say what you want about Uncle Pat (I think he's a total badass on par with the bassist from Morbid Angel, as my avatar should attest). However you feel about the guy, you have to admit that he makes one hell of a milkshake. Laughing

I actually am NOT a fan of the 700 Club. I watched it a few times in the past and was not impressed. I am also not a Pat Robertson fan. Because of him being somewhat well-known and because of some of the things he has said publicly, he has set a poor example to others.

Alot of that stuff on TV now is idiotic - But there are some cases in which the power of the
mind can reverse-mend-and create illness, but is misunderstood or taken incorrectly as
an act of god.
I have a book called Christian Science - written in 1875 - by Mary Baker Eddy.
It's frusterating to know that people thought that way and some still do, but it's
interesting as well.
They have things like: how to cure a fever. ( But if you die of a fever it's because you were evil)
Or has a scripture that explains to one why they have that sickness.
The bottom line of it all is that man is created in "god's" image - but the
mind is where man has free will and evil - therefore sickness is all in the
mind because the body can not be sick.

wow huh
